Great night at the LVMS Halloween Dance! Special thanks to Ms. Janus, Mrs. Udelsman and the LVMS Student Council for sponsoring a great event!

Don't forget! Tickets are on sale for the 7th & 8th Grade Halloween Dance all week during lunch periods!

Thank you Lt. Bratus for meeting with our 8th graders today to present on Drug Abuse and Awareness for Red Ribbon Week. We greatly value our partnership with the Washington Township Police Department in helping educate our students. Special thank you to Mrs. LeViere and Mrs. Werneke for organizing this great presentation!.

In 8-3, Ms. Lee's ELA students discussed independently read memoirs.
In small groups, students voted and decided on the best memoirs to recommend to the school. The students' choices and reasoning for their chosen memoirs are being displayed to hopefully inspire readers throughout LVMS.

It was Crime Scene Day in Mrs. Reid's Forensic Science class! Students walked through a mock crime scene to collect observations and begin to "investigate" what happened at the scene. Students used investigatory skills studied throughout the quint to learn more about the perpetrator and victim and began to piece together exactly what happened at the scene by studying evidence, like blood splatter and finger prints that were left behind.

Mr. Katzoff's 7th Grade ELA Classes created "Novel Pizza Projects". Students analyzed novels they read by creating Pizza Box projects and organizing them into 'slices' of the story elements. In addition to being proudly on display in the seventh grade hallway and Mr. Katzoff's classroom after the gallery walks pictured here, some of the projects will be on display in the library to inspire more students to read and showcase the students' hard work, creativity, and insights.

It's Red Ribbon Week! Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. This week will be a Spirit Week! Check out how you can participate each day to celebrate Red Ribbon Week.

And… Closing the day with a fantastic presentation from Lt. Bratus from our partners at the Washington Township Police Department.
Many thanks to the WTPD for their ongoing support of the district’s safety & security planning and preparation.

Starting the day with views of early fall in the courtyard, and the beginnings of holiday music in our Music Room!
