A small earthquake was picked up on Mr. Ferrante’s classroom seismometer late Friday evening! Confirmed by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), a 1.8 magnitude quake occurred in nearby Bedminster, NJ. Some residents in Long Valley even reported feeling the minor shaking. Thankfully, there were no injuries or damage. A special thank you to the LVMS PTA for funding Mr. Ferrante’s classroom seismometer a few years ago—it's a great real-world learning moment for our students!
