
Old Farmers Road School hosted a breakfast for our local veterans and honored them with a flag raising ceremony, including songs sung by our students this past Wednesday, May 22nd.







5th-grade students led by Ms. Scrimo performed in an instrumental concert for the whole school on Thursday morning. They will repeat their wonderful performance for family and friends Thursday night at 7pm. We hope to see you there! Event details: Cucinella cafetorium on Thursday, May 23 at 7pm.




REMINDER: District Schools will be closed on Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day Weekend. School will resume on Tuesday, May 28th.

Our kindergartners hosted their families for a Celebration of Learning this morning! Students shared the impressive progress they made this year, performed three spirited musical numbers, and toured the amazing artwork they have displayed throughout the school. Many thanks to our team of kindergarten teachers, our Music teacher Ms. Scrimo, and our Art teacher Mrs. Hemberger to bring together this special event.






It was a busy morning at FKS! We began the day with our 4th grade chorus assembly, with second graders as their special guests at Flocktown. They were wonderful! They are ready to bring the house down tonight at their performance for families!


We were honored today to host members of the American Veterans Association of Washington Township Post 1776 for two flag raising ceremonies to recognize Memorial Day. We thank our veterans for their service and being our guests of honor this morning .








Last week local Military Veterans visited LVMS to meet with 8th grade students. The students enjoyed listening to stories of the Veterans' experiences and students also created cards and letters for the Veterans.




One of the prizes at the OFRS PTO School Fair was lunch with Officer Adam! Then Officer Adam let the boys pose with his police car during recess.



In honor of National Poetry Month, Ms. Lee and House 8-3 students wrote poems inspired by the word "community". Inspired by community quilts that have each square created by someone in the community, students volunteered to share their quick-write poems (crafted under 10 minutes) by creating a square for our classroom poetry community quilt. Some students took a free verse approach while others used a more structured approach, such as a haiku.

The OFRS PTO scheduled Jerry Pallotta to visit our students on Thursday, May 9th! The students love his Who Would Win? books.


Our grade 5 students took us on a musical trip through their performance of Jukebox Time Machine. We enjoyed the show as they sang and danced through the decades. Congratulations on a wonderful performance to the entire grade level and Ms. English who directed the play! 🎭🎶📻🎙️

Grade 5 students were able to successfully release 22 trout back into the wild today! They then classified insects from around the area to determine the level of pollution in the water. It's been fun watching them care for the trout since October. 🐟🐠💦







The chicks have arrived! BAC students enjoyed watching chicks hatch last week. They learned about the chicken life cycle, and now they are learning to care for their new feathered friends!





This week the LVMS Boys Baseball team had a dominating win over Warren Hills. LVMS 8th Grader Philip Silvia pitched a no-hitter securing 10 strikeouts! The game was caught by Charles Bodnar and Vincent Kramer. The Boys have a record of 5-0 and face Chester on Monday.


Mr. Mita demonstrated different common Mandala patterns and his 6th grade students had the opportunity to create their own designs. In the upcoming days students will create their own Mandala's with these patterns.
