
7th and 8th Graders are having a great time at the Semi-Formal Dance!




Grades 2-5 enjoyed their 4th and 5th grade peers' performance of "Beauty and the Beast" on the culminating day of Theater Week. They perform for their families this evening at 7 pm in the BAC auditorium. Break a leg, Wolves!









Our primary grade students enjoyed the 100th Day of School on Thursday. Yes, already!











Mrs. Brandes and Mrs. Zgombic are getting their students out of their seats to learn different math formulas by working on the "Human Distributive Property"


Sponsored by the LVMS PTA, the Drum Café visited LVMS today to put on an interactive musical assembly to show us West African music and instrument. The performers had students and teachers out of their seats dancing to different rhythms and beats!

This week at OFRS we are promoting healthy living! Today we enjoyed dental health presentations on good dental hygiene at each grade level from Dr. Deehan, Dr. Mellas and Dr. Zeolla. Brush those teeth! 🦷👄



On January 23rd, the LVMS Quint Chorus combined with other schools in the West Morris Area to perform a concert. We hope you can join us on February 15th at 7:00 PM at LVMS for our Quint Chorus concert.


Attention 7th and 8th Graders! Please join us for the annual Semi-Formal Dance sponsored by the NJHS this Friday, February 10th. Tickets will be sold during student lunch periods and also be available at the door.


6th Grade Art students with Mrs. Clark created realistic food creations using clay, tempera paint, and acrylic glaze. Inspired by artist Claes Oldenburg our display looks good enough to eat!





OFRS Second Grade students worked with partners to create a restaurant with a menu, a daily schedule, and a floor plan. Today they had the chance to rotate around the room and "buy" from each other's restaurants! 🍽💵





FKS K-5 students completed their three classroom sessions of Mindful and Empowering Kids this week. In their final season, the focus was on calming and centering yoga poses and breathing. Many thanks to Sue Murphy and our amazing PTA for bringing her to our school this winter!




Our 5th Grade Band and Orchestra performed a dress rehearsal this morning for grades 2-5. The hard work of Mrs. Fessenden and our 5th grade instrumentalists is very evident. They are ready the bring the house down tonight for their evening performance at 7 pm!





Mrs. Melda and Mrs. Abbate's 6th Grade Social Studies classes wrapped up there Ancient Egypt Unit by wrapping a classmate in a mummy making competition.

Grade 2 students started a new unit on Civic Leadership. After learning about Martin Luther King, Jr., they decided to use his famous speech to create a special project. We have a dream to make our world a better place!





Save the Date! An Assembly on Responsible Use of
Technology For Parents. February 27, 2023 @ 7:00 pm., Benedict A. Cucinella School.


The 5th Grade "Kindness Reporters" visit a 1st grade health class to teach them about Kindness. The name of the lesson - "You Caught the Kindness Bug". First graders learned what it means to be kind, solved a puzzle, and brainstormed ways to show kindness to others. Our 5th grade leaders are excellent role models! 🐞





The OFRS 5th grade students put on an beautiful performance to showcase both their musical and artistic talents. The orchestra, band and chorus all did an outstanding job. Thank you to Ms. English and Mrs. Bruno for organizing such a wonderful event. 🎶🎺🎨
