Old Farmers Road School

Thank you to the PTO for purchasing a Gaga Pit that provides an additional activity for students to enjoy outside during recess. Gaga is safer variation of dodgeball in which students use a soft foam ball to try to strike opponents below the knees. If a student is "out" they wait outside the pit for the next game. It's an active, fast paced activity that allows students to get their heart rate going by jumping and sprinting around the court. The rounds go by quickly and all students get to jump back in the pit for additional fun. We love to students actively engaged in physical activity during recess and playing games that build social skills. While students are playing they are also being inclusive of others and learning problem-solving and cooperation.
