Students use their scientific knowledge to compete nationally by taking part in the National Science League Contest. Our students participated in the contest last spring.
National Science League informed us in June that our Grade 3 team (which was composed of Grade 3 students across the district) won first place nationally! (The sum of the top ten scores is the District team score - which was the BEST in the nation!
The Contest for grade 3 contains 35 questions. The multiple choice questions for the contest are based on factual knowledge as well as students' understanding of scientific processes.
