Registration is now open for the 2023 WMC Turkey Trot, which has become an annual holiday tradition in Washington Township, held on Thanksgiving morning at WMC High School. Compete in the 5K, where medals are awarded to the 3 male and female finishers; 12 and over, and under 12. Or, take part in the non-competitive ‘Fun Run’, where you can enjoy any part of the course at your own pace, and strollers and dogs on leash are welcome.
Everyone is invited to join us at the finish line in the football stadium, where medals will be awarded, and fun activities are at hand, including meeting Trotter, our ‘fowl’ mascot. All participants will alsoreceive a commemorative WMC Turkey Trot runners cap.
In addition to supporting Washington Township programs such as Project Graduation and CommunityNight Out, the proceeds from the event also support four memorial scholarships for former WMC students. New for this year will be the American Veterans Association of Washington Township Fallen Hero Scholarship Award, which will be awarded to the WMC student who produces the best essay about a local fallen veteran.
