Pandemic Update 5.14.21
May 14, 2021
The Centers for Disease Control continues to make adjustments to its COVID-19 guidance based on improving conditions here in our United States; specifically, the wearing of masks when it comes to fully vaccinated individuals. As a matter of protocol, the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDoH) will review the CDC's guidance as it has all year and continue to revise its recommendations for K-12 schools as it sees fit. Your Washington Township Schools will continue to partner with the Township's local Board of Health and the School District Medical Inspector in reviewing any revisions the NJDoH makes to its existing guidelines and effecting thoughtful changes accordingly. In the meantime, we will continue to practice the five core COVID-19 mitigation strategies at all schools as we strive for a successful finish to the children's school year. Thank you for your continued spirit of cooperation and support!
