Dr. Caralee Gately began her tenure in the Washington Township Schools in May 2022. Dr. Gately has a Doctoral Degree in Educational Technology Leadership and a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology, both from New Jersey City University. Her Bachelor’s Degree is in Secondary Education from the State University of New York at Oswego and she holds Elementary Teaching, School Library Media Specialist, and NJ Supervisor Certifications. Dr. Gately previously served as the Innovation and Communications Technology Coordinator and Media Specialist in the Belvidere School District.  Through her teaching career she has also taught a wide variety of classes including Middle & High School Social Studies, Elementary & Middle School STEM and Kindergarten.

Dr. Gately’s goal as an educator is to inspire change to keep moving our schools forward to meet the needs of all our students in an ever changing society. She strives to be innovative; connecting people to resources and ideas to foster a love of learning.

Dr. Gately was born and raised in New Jersey and currently resides in Belvidere, NJ with her husband Scott and two children, Kiera and Owen. Dr. Gately enjoys spending time with her family, reading books and playing golf.
