Principal's Message

  • Welcome Back LVMS Students and Families!

As the summer winds down, we continue to prepare to open our doors for new and returning students on September 6th.  We are putting the final touches on student schedules, our LVMS Classrooms, and other activities and Middle School programs, making sure everything is just right for our 2016-2017 school year kick off!

In this mailing you’ll find all you need to get started on the first day - your homeroom and class assignment information, bus pass, and some “homework” for your parents to complete.  Please take a moment before the summer officially ends to review this information.  Also, our “School Supply Lists” can easily be found on the “Quick Links” of our new LVMS Website (www.wtschools.org/lvms) for your information.

On your first day with us, all of our LVMS Professionals will be ready to welcome you and to help you to get started on the right foot.  We are especially excited to welcome our newest LVMS students and to help each of you begin to find success here at the Middle School.  As always, volunteers from our PTA will be here to help welcome our Sixth Grade students, and assist them in “moving in” to their lockers.  You’ll spend the day meeting your teachers, moving about the school, and making new friends from across the district.

We can’t wait to greet our returning students and meet our newest LVMS Panthers.  In the meantime, we hope you’ll plan to stop by for our Summer Walkthrough events on August 25th and 26th from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.  LVMS Peer Leaders are eager to help their classmates navigate the building, try their hand in opening lockers, and share a bit more about the opportunities that await at Long Valley Middle School.

We wish you the best as you finish up your summer.  You can continue to sleep in for a bit longer, but soon you’ll be boarding your buses and heading off for a great school year!

    See you all soon!
