Beginning with the September 2011-2012 school year, our school district has conscientiously implemented the requirements found in the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act by following the letter of the law, attending state trainings, turnkeying trainings with staff, and implementing policies and procedures to insure that we are in compliance. Additionally each school has implemented proactive programs to promote positive school climates and cultures.
During the first three years of implementation of the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act our district has continued to make progress in addressing and improving harassment, intimidation, and bullying and the school climate and culture through the training of staff, students and parents. Each school has implemented proactive programs to promote positive school climates and cultures. Our district has implemented policies and procedures for the reporting and investigation of HIB.
While completing the Self-Assessment, we learned that our district has demonstrated strengths in the these areas: professional development, positive school climate and culture, and in successfully completing investigations of HIB.
The Self-Assessment helped our district to identify the need for continued improvement with community involvement and training.
